Our service in SA, VIC, QLD, NSW, WA and NT is focused on the following sectors:
The paprika chilli pepper is commonly known for its sweet flavours together with its ability to release robust flavours when heated. The more the paprika is fried, the more flavour is released. Some people consider it a great skill to prepare a highly flavoursome dish, that is rich in body yet has no hint of bitterness whatsoever. Extreme care must be taken when cooking with paprika. Due to the high sugar content contained in the spice, if paprika is fried for too long or at a temperature that is too high, it will rapidly turn bitter. This could potentially spoil a good plate of food. Thus, sprinkling ground paprika over colourless dishes may improve their appearance, but does little for their ultimate flavour.
Like Paprika, professional employees who are comprehensively interviewed and questioned, release more of their strengths and attributes than if they were interviewed rapidly and impersonally. Our interviews are robust and the candidates learn quickly about our interest in their desires and attributes. We welcome them to our team and they leave our office advocating the sweetness of our service, together with our assertive employment methods. This differs vastly from the ease of simply flicking a resume in the hope that it sticks.
When we recruit a role or present a candidate we don't cut and paste job details and hope for the best. We brand your company, the candidate and ourselves. Our consultants are trained in creating appealing advertisements that speak to a core audience of professionals.

Another 30% are actively on the job market, and whilst some hot talent is found in this group, we are successful at speaking to the remaining number of employees who are currently high performers for another company, but are happy to move for the right career. However, the job opportunity must be branded effectively. Speak to a consultant today to learn more about our robust advertising methods and how over 70% of our placements come from our advertising campaigns.

The key thing to remember about your resume is that it should be treated like a large business card: a snapshot of who you are. You want to give the reader a reason to call you, enticing them with the relevant criteria matching their job advertisement. Resumes need to be concise and include core areas relating to your education, working history, attributes and achievements. Get your referees' permission to include their contact details on your resume, as they may request privacy. It's also a good idea to ask your referees if they can describe to you, your key strengths. It would be great to include some of their comments on your resume. And please, remember to include your name, phone number and email address on your resume!
Organisational Psychologists say that it takes approximately 4 seconds to make a first impression. Smile, handshake, posture, jewellery, make up, shoes and even cologne are all key influencers on the opinion an person can make when meeting you for the first time. Once chilli recruitment have conducted a thorough telephone interview, face to face interview and completed the qualifying process, it's all up to you. Preparing for the interview with your potential employer is very important. Our fabulous job hunters take the time to view websites, drive over to the employers' office, familiarise themselves with the environment and align themselves with the company's corporate colours, uniform and industry specification. Often candidates undertaking interviews through recruitment agencies have the perception that our opinion counts less than that of the direct employer. We have heard things like "sorry I'm in casuals today but I know you're just the agency and you wouldn't mind" and "sorry I'm running late, I found it hard to park, but I'll make sure I'm on time for the employer." Wrong! Our qualifying methods are superior and because we promise our clients to deliver the hottest shortlist in Australia, you could be making it easier for another candidate to impress us and win the spot in the shortlist. It's crucial to ensure that you treat every agency interview as you would an employer interview. You're on stage baby, action is the key!
A vast number of individuals validate their importance, status or self-worth based on their annual salary figure. We aim to inform you of current market trends to ensure you are searching in the realistic salary bracket for your expertise however, when discussing salary requirements with potential employers it's important to be flexible so not to miss that perfect opportunity. There needs to be a balance between individual requirements and market expectations, and showing flexibility during the interview process could see you shortlisted. If you are one of the 70% of Australians leaving your workplace due to management, culture or lack of job satisfaction, then it's crucial you write a list of the must-haves in your next employment place, give chilli recruitment this list and we will find it!
A counter offer is an offer made by your current employer when they learn of your acceptance of another position. Sure, we've all heard it before "I don't want to lose you" or "what do I need to do to make you stay?" or the unbelievable coincidence such as "I was just talking about you in the board meeting and I want to offer you a promotion and a $10K pay rise." Please be aware that less than 4% of counter offered employees remain in the position for more than 6 months after the offer. The leaders of companies who don't value their staff often go into damage control when faced with losing a staff member. The only problem is that they didn't see it before you resigned. The key thing to ask yourself before you commence applying for a new role is "why am I unhappy, and what do I want to find?" Speak to us further about your career desires and we'll aim to work with you until you are ready to resign and move forward.
At times we receive feedback from Australian business managers about their hesitations when outsourcing their recruitment function. It is disheartening to hear that resumes don't match job specifications, the favourite candidate withdrew from the shortlist or the consultant didn't follow up after the placement. We would agree that's not what you've paid for, and it's probably time to shop around for a new recruiter.
Our statistics and results demonstrate that our robust screening methods, history checking and candidate relationships are the key to sourcing high performers. Speak to one of our eager and energised consultants today and start cutting the crap.
Professional Job Hunters know what they want. Over 70% of them are resigning due to their manager. They are looking for new inspiration, a company that will value their hard work and achievements. In today's market where there are thousands jobs advertised in just one category search, it's important for employers to know what job hunters are looking for during an interview process. Our candidates take note of the following employer attributes:
Our resume profiles are written by the consultant who interviewed the candidate. They are comprehensive and offer key features about the candidate that perhaps they have not included in their own CV. It's important to have read the candidates CV prior to the interview, have a copy of the CV during the interview and please.... pronounce their name right!
Candidates are quite critical of managers who make them wait more than 5 minutes for an interview. Interviews can cause enough anxiety to an individual without them having to sit and watch the minutes tick by in your reception area. Preparing for an interview 10 minutes before is the key to gaining the most accurate information about the candidate and gives them confidence that you are an organised leader.
Our clients have amazing workplaces. Upon entrance you are often greeted by happy people buzzing around the office with a smile. There is nothing more appealing to a job hunter arriving for an interview, than to have the receptionist greet them by name and highlighting that the manager is expecting them. Grumpy receptionists loose hot candidates quicker than you can blink, so please prepare her. Or on the other hand, speak to us if you wish to replace her! On occasions where interviews need to be kept confidential, our interview studio is available.
We all know people, who know people. It's tempting to pick up the phone and quickly ask a friend about someone who worked with them. chilli recruitment provide comprehensive, double-checked reference checks in report form so you can rest assured that we will qualify the candidates as far back as 10 years. Our candidates have told us horror stories of being marched into the office Monday morning by their manager, because someone at your wokplace was contacted and exposed their job hunting activities. Please respect candidates' privacy and handle their information delicately.
We inform and consult with job hunters about industry specific salary guides. Our candidates are open-minded and almost all of them are more concerned about securing a rewarding position, than to secure a higher paying one. However, in today's economy where housing and lifestyle has been affected, candidates are also keen to remain somewhere near their existing salaries. On the occasion that your perfect candidate requests for example, $10,000pa more than your secondary candidate, it is tempting to go with the cheaper option. The cheaper option may not be the perfect candidate and effectively costs your company more time and money in having to replace them. Ask us how the additional investment of $192 per week to hire the perfect candidate, could infact increase your sales revenue by some 30-60% or decrease costs in the first 12 months.
